If you have read through the above and think that you would like to do one of our intensive courses in Kent, please give me a call on 07812 441116 or the Big Red L offices at 0800 085 0078 and we can have a chat about how we can help you.

Assessment Lesson

The assessment lesson is 1.5 hours and costs £30.

Wherever possible we like to conduct an assessment lesson several weeks before running an intensive driving course as this gives us a chance to see your driving ability and learning style before planning an intensive course that will help you achieve the high standard that is required to pass.

It will also give you confidence in our driving instructor's ability to help you through what can be a very stressful course. You also have the option of backing out if you don't think it is for you.

You can do this lesson before you take your driving theory test, but remember we cannot book your driving test until you have passed your driving theory test.

Guaranteed Pass Scheme?

Some companies offer a guaranteed pass scheme, we think this is just about the only thing we cannot guarantee as in the end it is down to the pupil on the day. However, if having taken our driving instructor's advice you do fail we will pay for your second (standard car) driving test fee.

If you can already drive to some degree, a short course is usually an ideal way to prepare for a driving test.

For beginners, pressure is a major factor in people failing their driving test after any course. However, on a course squeezed together over just a week, you may find that 6 hours a day, new things to get to grips with every hour and a test in a few days time doesn't always work out as planned! As the name might suggest, the course can be a little 'intense', and isn't appropriate for every pupil.

An assessment lesson is crucial. It gives us the chance to see your driving and character, it gives you the chance to meet your instructor, try the car, gain some confidence in the Company before you part with your hard earned cash.

The course is often based around a driving test date that is pre-booked and so that is a major consideration: getting the test booked. Big Red L office can help with that on your behalf.

We have found that by doing an assessment lesson at least a month before, with perhaps a lesson each week in the run up to the main course takes the sting out of the pressure. Some people find that doing the main course a month before the test with a lesson a week up to the test, with the option of a few extra lessons also greatly helps.

If you pass your driving test you will be offered the chance to do our Pass Plus Course which may greatly reduce your insurance premiums.

However, if you fail the driving test, we have instructors throughout Kent who can keep you polished up until you get a second chance

I am also an Associate Instructor for Intensives, a part of the Big Red L group which offers specialised intensive courses across the whole of the UK
